Acrylic on canvas board, 8 inches x 10 inches. This painting is based on a photo seen on one of Will Kemp’s online courses. You’ll see in this post that I didn’t get the purple shadows just right. But I enjoyed doing this little project. I was the first time that I picked up a brush in over a year. My excuse is that I was writing a new book that will be published in August. Below you will see my painting (left) and Will Kemp’s painting (right). This was a refreshing change. My writing studio is integrated with my art studio so it wasn’t difficult to make the change.
