Acrylic on canvas, 8 x 10 inches, framed with a rustic wood frame, 10 3/4 x 12 3/4 inches.  I’ve viewed this scene for many years on our antique selling trips to Round Top, Texas each September and March.  It’s one of the largest antique festivals in the US, and we’ve been doing the show since 2004.  We show our English antiques at Marburger Farm Antiques Show.

This scene is the landscape behind a MacDonald’s in the town of Brenham which is about 15 miles from Round Top.  So, it goes to say, that you find landscapes to paint anywhere.

Each spring Texas is abloom with Texas bluebells, and Indian Paint Brushes.  I tried to capture them in the fore- and mid ground of the picture, with the beautiful barns in the background atop a hill.IMG_0466
