Marietta Square October 14 & 15

Each year, the Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art supports the annual Chalktoberfest, featuring over 80 internationally and nationally recognized artists from several countries, including Mexico, Italy, and Ukraine. Between 50,000 and 100,000 people are expected to attend.

On Saturday at 10 AM they begin with a sketch on their “road space.” on Sunday, they complete their work as judges roam the square.

In addition to the artists, there is a beer fest at $50 per person to sample about 40 different beers and 20 wines. Surrounding the artists and beer fest are venders selling crafts, jewelry, clothing, doing treats, and food for human consumption.

Following are photos I took during the first-day of Chalktoberfest.
